Mardin Bienali – 2026

Mardin Bienali – 2026

The Mardin Bienali 2026 was a truly inspiring experience and held a special meaning for us. As part of its 7th edition, experiencing works by 42 artists from 20 different countries across various locations in Mardin was deeply moving. Shaped around the theme “GÖKzemin,” the biennial opened a powerful intellectual space between sky and earth, memory and the present, East and West, imagination and reality. The narratives built around birds, journeys, and transformation made us reflect on how people sometimes search for truth in distant places, while the real journey is often within themselves.

We were proud to take part in this remarkable cultural event with our Ezora Collection, a collection deeply inspired by the ancient city of Mardin, its timeless architecture, rich heritage, warm textures, and enchanting atmosphere. Returning to the city that brought this collection to life made our participation even more meaningful. Presenting the Ezora Collection on the terraces of Mardin allowed each piece to reconnect with its original source of inspiration, surrounded by the very culture, landscape, and history that shaped its design.

One of the most striking aspects of encountering contemporary art in Mardin was how the city itself became part of the narrative. The memory of stone, silence, light, and the cultural layers accumulated over centuries within the same geography created a powerful unity together with the works.Through our Ezora collection, we were pleased to celebrate the harmony between contemporary craftsmanship and the spirit of Mardin. Each piece reflects the beauty and cultural depth of this ancient city, transforming inspiration into timeless forms designed for modern living.

As a design practice deeply inspired by the cultural memory and multilayered structure of Mesopotamia, this biennial once again reminded us how meaningful and powerful the connection with one’s roots can become within contemporary creative production.
