Sole Bar at FDI 2026 Design Circle

At Furnishings & Design Istanbul (FDI) 2026, Ndesign’s Sole Bar was selected by the FDI Design Committee to be featured in the Design Circle exhibition, an inspiring platform bringing together design, craftsmanship, and material exploration.

This year’s exhibition explored the theme “The Memory of Material,” highlighting how materials carry stories of transformation, craftsmanship, production techniques, and cultural heritage. Within this context, Sole Bar presented a dialogue between ancient symbolism and contemporary design.

Inspired by the ancient sun of Mesopotamia, Sole Bar translates the symbolic power of light into a refined contemporary form. Its distinctive circular silhouette and sculptural presence bring together cultural symbolism and modern design, transforming a functional object into an architectural focal point.

Being part of Design Circle offered an opportunity to share Ndesign’s approach to design, where cultural narratives, material expression, and contemporary aesthetics come together. Through Sole Bar, the exhibition became a space to reflect on how stories from the past continue to inspire the objects and living spaces of today.
