The Global Debut of Ezora 

IIFF 2025 in Istanbul marked a meaningful milestone for Ndesign. As one of Europe’s most influential design platforms, the fair already holds significant weight, yet this year carried something far more profound: the world premiere of the Ezora Collection. Ezora is a design narrative shaped by the ancient heritage of Mesopotamia and reinterpreted for contemporary living. It carries the mystical essence of Mardin, the stone craftsmanship, layered cultural memory and timeless atmosphere that define the region. 

For the fair, our intention was not to build a stand. It was to build a story, one that visitors could enter, feel and remember.  The entrance was inspired by the softly lit, enigmatic ambiance of Mardin’s narrow streets and historic Abbaras. This passage served as the threshold of the narrative, inviting visitors to step inside not just a space, but a world. 

The transition from exterior to interior became an emotional shift, transforming the visit from a fair experience into an immersive journey.  At the center, we placed a feature inspired by the symbolic pools of Kasimiye and Zinciriye Madrasahs. These pools reflect the human life cycle, birth, youth, maturity and the return to the divine. Their still waters carried quiet reflections, each one echoing the philosophical depth embedded in Ezora. Visitors paused here, some in contemplation, some in curiosity, all drawn into the story held by water. 

A Contemporary Courtyard Inspired by Mardin 

Around the pool, we created an inner courtyard showcasing Ezora’s outdoor pieces.
This space embodied Mardin’s open-air culture. Warm nights under the stars, shared conversations in stone-lined courtyards, the serene rhythm of life. It was a contemporary interpretation of ancient Mardin, celebrating peace, coexistence and the continuity between past and future. 

Here, visitors were invited not only to observe the pieces but to feel the spirit behind them. Materials, forms and details carried traces of the stories we discovered in Mardin. Each design held its own narrative, inviting a personal emotional connection. 

Ezora made a strong impression on the international audience. The stand design, the storytelling and the products themselves received enthusiastic praise from visitors from around the world. IIFF 2025 became not only a successful moment in our journey, but a meaningful affirmation of what Ezora represents: a timeless bridge between ancient heritage and contemporary design.
